Role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage sterile surgical environments for Cath lab procedures.
- Scrub for Cath lab procedures and assist the surgical team as required.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Ensure efficient handling of surgical equipment and stock.
- Provide holistic patient care and support during perioperative phases.
- Ensuring consignment stock, surgical stock and equipment are charged according to the policy.
- Managing stock by participating in regular stock taking and controlling of the consignment stock in accordance with the hospital (local) policy.
Education
Experience and Requirements
- Current registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse.
- Theatre experience, with proven scrub experience in Cath lab procedures preferred.
- Strong knowledge of theatre protocols and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
